Innis & Gunn - 1 Millionth Pint

About

Story Shop linked me in on their client's, the famous Scottish brewer and pub chain Innis & Gunn, project to celebrate the sale of their millionth pint at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024. Innis & Gunn are a staple around the city, Scotland and worldwide but not forgetting their roots, they had been operating a beer garden-esque area by the mound serving their own brew alongside other Scottish partner retailers and producers.

While not the most complex or laborious project, it was definitely a logistical challenge to ensure the video itself was authentic whilst also providing the best result for Innis & Gunn and the lucky customer they'd end up surprising. Thankfully, the legendary agency that is Story Shop had their best minds behind that. I'm usually able to complete most jobs solo but due to the 'live' nature of this shoot, I brought in a colleague in the form of Alfie Bowers to help get secondary angles of the action and cover me when I was jumping about the place (and of course, vice versa).

Despite the classical Scottish weather on show and the natural hurdles that occur at the last minute whilst you're trying to get these shoots to run smoothly, everything was captured, the customer was bewildered and we were able to turn an edit around in only a few hours so that Innis & Gunn could run the promotion across their socials whilst the Fringe was still ongoing.
